Editing The Adask

This a quick list for people that the players might meet or hear about.

'''Arloxedra-Son of Eric'''  This is the guy that never leaves the library.  He knows where almost everything is and where everything should go.  he has no official status with the library staff but his lineage as a son of Eric gives him clout enough to tell them to leave him the hell alone.   He smokes constantly, a wide variety of things, but the smoke zips quickly to a small ring he wears, leaving no trace.  

During Eric's brief reign Arlo was being groomed to be Crown Prince of Amber.  He has a wide variety of tutalages but was kept from Fantalin till after Random's first Call to the Kin.  After that he attended Fantalin for almost 10 years and is known to have turned down a professorial chair, though the reasons are unknown.  

Arlo is high strung, haunted, nervous, manic and paranoid.  While talkative with anyone in the Library he gets aggitated if people try to coerce him to leave.  He has regular meals brought to him in the Library.  The library staff, 

He seems to know a lot of history though he is easily distracted.  He was brought to Amber in the fist rush of the Cousins and seems to have done little more then read.  He makes occasional trips into shadow but returns looking haggard and driven, afraid of what he found in shadow.

The fourth son of Lord Wolfgang Chantris, Harold, is leader of the Royal Lifeguard. The Lifeguard is a largely ceremonial group that requires little activities on the part of it's members. This leaves time for his real job. He is '''Master of Ceremonies of Amber'''. He knows every musician, singer, minstrel, bard and performer in Amber and seeks more in shadow. He is called ''Lord Harry'' by everyone, mainly in the spirit of fun but also to distinguish himself from the heralds. The name Harald, when yelled loudly, too often brought a court herald as well as Harald himself. So Corwin started calling him Lord Harry and the name stuck. Harry served as Deputy Master of Ceremonies under Lan Mal at Riess, the previous Master of Ceremonies, who sadly, died at Patternfall.

Lord Harry is a good person to know and will be a frequent contact for PCs and others in Amber.  He will often be involved in formal affairs and knows many little secrets.  He is a knight of Amber and fought at Patternfall.  Having once been Prince Caine's squire has always given him a sinister edge to this otherwise cheerful and helpful man.

Ernest is known as something of rouge and a womanizer.   Ernie, as second of the Elite guard, carries a military rank of general as well as a knighthood.  Yet he appears very young and lively.

Humphrey is a scribe and a frequent presence in the back of the thrones during any court, where he records what is said with the skill of a court reporter.  He is quiet and proper, like a puritan. But he is also an excellent source of information.  However, he is discrete and knows exactly what is public knowladge and what is not.  Thus he is an excellent source of ''Public Knowladge''
