Introduction

The Moon's Reflection is a 2nd Edition AD&D Play-By-Post game set in the World of Greyhawk. The year is 573 CY. The game begins in Chendl, the capital of the Kingdom of Furyondy.

The party members may be connected in some manner to Galen Verlaine, a noted wizard who retired from service to King Belvor three years ago. Until recently, he has lived in seclusion near the small fishing village of Morsten, which is across the Veng River from the Horned Society. Verlaine went missing a month ago, however, and his niece, Sylvie, has decided to go to Morsten to investigate.

Possible connections for player characters include: former teacher, former employer, family member (uncle, cousin, or more distant), or friend of the family. It's possible the character has no direct connection to Verlaine but to Sylvie, his niece, who is gathering a group to accompany her to Morsten. One further possibility is that the character is going to the village for other reasons and decides to travel with the party.
