I put on the mask the first time I decided to do something with my powers. The mask is a symbolic line between what I am and what I can be.

Since my family - among other people - will never understand who I really am, and I owe it to myself to know what kind of person I could be if only no one was there to point fingers at me and tell me what to do.

''Who, outside of the team, knows about your dual identity?'' 
Gavin, my only childhood friend, who supports me in my superhero endeavors since he think it's cool. I have a crush on him since forever, but I can't confess my feelings due to my own convoluted identity issues.

''Who thinks the worst of your masked identity?'' 
My parents, actually, and they don't even know it's me! They're very traditional people and don't approve of any girl who doesn't knit and cook, never mind going around kicking ass and
taking names.

''Why do you care about the team?'' 
* It's perhaps selfish, but in a way everyone on the team is an outcast in one way or another, just like me, so I feel like I can be myself around them, just like when I'm around my best friend Gavin.
