The Tantumire Sector is the main setting of The Tantumirean Heresy. Drawing its name from a bastardisation of the words "Far Reach" in High Gothic, the sector is one of the more populous on the Eastern Fringe beyond the borders of Ultramar, despite being quite far from Terra and the Astronomican. While this distance has not hampered the sector's ability to thrive quite independently, it has affected the general populace's accepted of Imperial beliefs, leading to many heretical cults forming in recent years.
