Backlog

Pieter Benjerman Parkure was orphaned at a young age and raised by his father's brother, uncle Benjerman Parkure. Pieter was very bright but the Parkure were a common, poor family so it looked as though Pieter would never reach his potential. But then he had a chance encounter with Professor Nathan Osborn who recognized Pieter's mind. He sponsored him through boarding school and pulled strings to get him accepted as a freshmen at Oxford University. What Osborn saw in Pieter was his amazing gift with chemistry, which he thought he could exploit for his own experiments. Professor Osborn had been working on an alchemist elixir that would create an `Ultimate' human – better, stronger, faster, smarter. Osborn was obsessed with this and together they created something… but then it was accidentally spilled over a spider which then bite Pieter and gave him these strange powers.

At first Pieter thought that it was great that he had these powers and he would use them to elevate his family into the nobility. Professor Osborn, jealous of Pieter mind and new powers, experiment further and used them on himself to gained powers but in the process it drove him mad! He vowed to destroy Pieter and became the villainous fiend known as the Green Gargoyle!

Meanwhile, Pieter design a strange custom for himself (to protect his identity just in case something went wrong) and started appearing around the richer neighborhoods doing things he thought was `noble' to gain attention for himself (not fighting crime, but making appearances, talking big, showing off, etc). Osborn, now the Green Gargoyle appeared and threatened him, but he just ran off figuring that it wasn't his problem and if Osborn could not find him he would leave him alone.

But the Gargoyle followed him home and blow up the apartment he shared with his uncle and aunt. His aunt was away at the time but his uncle died in the explosion. Pieter, shamed by his inaction before, took up the motto "With great gifts, great things are expected by a citizen of the Empire"…

What is your Heroic Motivation?

Sense of Responsibility after the death of his uncle, Benjerman Parkure. He is also still something of a trill seeker and has an adventurous seeker.

Spyder Man is a hero of the `people' and while at one time he was enthralled by the idea of the nobility, his time spent with them as tempered this enthusiasm with the harsh realization that in real life, an accident of birth does not make one noble.

Complications or Character Flags

These complication or flags are things that tell the GM what the PLAYERS are interested in doing with their characters in the game. The advantage here is that the GM can look at these flags and tailor events in the game so folks are getting what they want for their characters. Any Complications on your character sheet are also flags to the GM of things you as a player want your character to confront in the game.
