Black hair and eyes, with pale skin, Sorcerors resemble humans closely, except for the horns on their head.  These horns somehow enable them to sense life force, and it is an important part of their culture that using the Black Star drains the user's life force... but it can steal that energy from others to let the Sorceror heal.

Basics

Each race is connected to one of the eight Stars, and can utilize the magic associated with that Star. ex: Dragons are associated with the Red star, and can use magic regarding fire.

Elves

With pointed ears and green hair and eyes, they were a sizable group, and appeared to be a collection of farmers and warriors. The fallen Schalar Kylwan had been their greatest warrior, a legend with sword and bow, but had just lost his sword-arm in battle. They looked to the young (about 13) princess Shalara Tryveld as their monarch and leader, after the deaths of the rest of the royal family.

Dragons

Strasha Sunborn, the red-haired woman with horns, wings, and tail. As a dragon, she would normally be able to transform into a gigantic, winged, scaled reptilian being, but there isn't enough Red Star magic in the world left for this to be possible. She is very bitter about this.

Serafin

Blue-haired and with angelic wings, they appeared to be part of a religious community, and had warriors and clergy of some kind with them. Many were healers of some kind, although it appeared that their leader, Mother Zephriel, who was the strongest healer that they had, was herself critically injured, and unlikely to live for too much longer. A knight named Azragel was in charge of their warriors.

Hotaro

fairies about nine inches tall with insect wings and glowing with golden light. Invariably golden-haired, they seemed to lack any organized society and to likewise not need it. Insofar as they had a leader, they looked to Tinatel.

Gnolls

Beastial folk with orange fur, claws, fangs, and tails, they came in a variety of shapes and sizes, but were all strong and tough. They clearly used less metal and were apparently nomad herders, and in fact still had large numbers of animals with them. A gigantic warrior named Gaarsh Bonestrike was the leader, but he appeared to consult with the younger Grala Stoneclaw frequently, valuing her counsel.

Sirens

all women, with an astonishing resemblance to one another. Their hair was normally indigo, but there was a high percentage of other colors among their number. They were all lightly dressed, and a bit clumsy. They looked to Arale as their leader.

Goblins

Shorter than the others, with violet hair and pale skin, they possessed exquisite metalwork and mining tools, as well as some crossbows and minor bits of clockwork. Apparently one named Raksas Rakuliar was responsible for the construction of the crossbows, but another, a woman named Chiel Chartagnan, was someone of considerable importance.

Sorcerors

Black hair and eyes, with pale skin, Sorcerors resemble humans closely, except for the horns on their head. These horns somehow enable them to sense life force, and it is an important part of their culture that using the Black Star drains the user's life force... but it can steal that energy from others to let the Sorceror heal.
