Miris is the unacknowledged daughter of Yedan. Miris' mother was a mortal follower of Yedan who conceived during a Spring Festival. She died before Miris was born, but the strength of Yedan's seed meant that Miris was born living in the Underworld.
Miris was raised by the dead until Leith became aware of her existence. Leith had Miris brought to the Cimbiline Cave to be a companion to Cadre.
