| − | Tycho Vistain was raised in a religious family, and his parents expected him to become a Priest. He, however, had other plans, and when he was shipped off to ecclesiastical school he ran off after only a single term to join the military. He soon distinguished himself with his canny analysis and keen people skills, becoming the unit leader of an airborne troop and later gaining promotion to the rank of Junior Commander and the position of lead air-fire coordinator for the Fifth Wing of Destiny. While he continues to give lip service to the religious doctrine of his childhood, his life experiences have shown him not only that there is more in the world than his village and his church, but also more than the simple rock and tree and river of his homeland. He has been following the news of the extra-terrestrial visitors closely, looking for an opportunity to position himself within arm's reach of his next step onward and outward.
