The Mindadeevil enhances the creature it has possessed with superior physical ability but totally suppresses their mental abilities.  This does not protect the host and killing the host does not kill the Mindadeevil,  it will only weaken it for a moment.  The only way to destroy a Mindadeevil is magic or some sort of banishment.  The host retains no memory of being possessed.

Besides voluntary imbuing of power, the Nihls have another way of controlling creatures of Creation.  Mindadeevils were created for the sole purpose of suppressing and controlling the spirit of Creation in creatures created by the power of Creation.  Outside of a host body, the Mindadeevil looks like what a human would call a ghost.  It is impervious to normal weapons.  It is also insubstantial and can pass through solid matter.  The only way to hurt a Mindadeevil is magic.
