Appearance

While from a distance, he is sometimes mistaken for human, up close he is anything but. His skin is the same color as embers, sometimes even giving off light, eyes like magma. However, the most striking feature is on his head. He has what appear to be lava tubes growing out of his scalp, pointing towards the back of his head. As they constantly emit smoke (indeed, even causing it to billow out as large, black clouds when he's mad), it's almost as if he has a head of smoke for hair. Aside from that, he's fairly tall at 6'1", and weighs 200 pounds of pure muscle.

As his race did until the day the Intrepid Troubleseeker found them, he wears traditional armor made out of the hide of his totem beast, a chimera that had been raiding his town. However, unlike those days, it's become much more like a long jacket rather than patchwork hide armor. Also, his boots look somewhat strange, until parts extend.

Background

Born in one of the Central Hub Cities, he grew up in an urban setting. In that time, he had a tendency towards delinquency, and trouble staying in a single school for a full term. After a certain point, his parents realized that Trailblazing Intrepid Mystery Explorers would be a good fit for him, due to the dangerous but normally good work they do, as well as the vast education that such a place could give.

Personality

His violent streak covers up a righteous streak. He believes in helping others, but has a tendency to go about it the wrong way. This is because, while he's smarter than the average common humanoid, isn't smarter by too much. So his good intentions generally get lost amongst the broken bones they cause. However, this isn't all there is to him. It may be due to racial necessity to know the earth, but he's actually interested in geologic studies. He's also been occasionally seen at the forges, but so far, nothing has really seemed to come out of that, since he tends to avoid questions about what he does there...

Powers

For starters, he wields a giant, two handed warhammer covered in spikes. When asked about the spikes, he says it's actually to cause the force of impact to be focused through each point. However, he only uses this when truly pressed. His primary ability is in the martial arts. Most of his strikes have a slow, ponderous appearance that are in truth faster than they seem. When combined with being extraordinarily strong, getting punched by him has been described like being hit by a boulder. Coupled with a slightly above average intelligence, and he's actually developed some fairly effective tactics. Hot weather and volcanic areas are of little issue to his kind, as they have grown to thrive in such conditions.

He also has a secret: in his boots are pneumatic rams that he had installed as he worked to find TIME. These can enhance his kicks.

Motivation

About a year before the formation of TIME, the Intrepid Troubleseeker not only discovered his race's existence, but his entire portion of the Mirrorsky. Since then, his culture has diffused into the others, though some still live near the volcano range that they were found at. Tyroth was actually born and raised in one of the Nhihn Hub Cities, and has been to several schools. Unfortunately, he's been kicked out of most of the schools he's ever been to after several fights (normally trying to help someone else). Remembering history, his parents decided ship him off to become a member of TIME, where violent tendencies and a sense of righteousness could fit right in. That isn't to say he doesn't like it there. Far from it, as he enjoys the strange and wide education he receives through his experiences with them.
