Ugarit is an ageing uncle of Rigar Doruk by marriage. His wife is dead some years, and his voice is thought to carry little weight with the blood-Doruks. Ugarit is paid a State pension to serve as Priest of Miniscus the Traveller. His main duty is to maintain the Shrine to Miniscus. Since it's a small shrine and the priest, emulating his God, is no stickler for the rules, he has plenty of free time.
