Talinyr was born a Dynast on the Blessed Isle in 749 R.Y. during the month of Resplendent Water, and under the descending constellation of Mask. His auspicious birth boded well for the future fortunes of House Iselsi, with initial auguries portending a powerful Exaltation. Early on, the young boy even showed great promise by being keen of mind and able of body. So the House Elders immediately began grooming him for a position within the ubiquitous All-Seeing Eye.
 
 
However, in 765 R.Y. when Talinyr drew his Second Breath during his sixteenth birthday, it was not as a Water or Air-Aspected Dragon-Blooded as was expected. Instead, amongst his stunned classmates at the Palace of the Tamed Storm, he exalted as one of the feared Night Caste Solar Anathema. Only his specialized training and his newfound powers allowed him to escape the Blessed Isle alive that day, along with some well-timed obfuscation provided by an Iselsi Elder and a Gold Faction Sidereal.
 
 
The Wyld Hunt, misled to believe that the nascent Anathema had fled towards Nexus, chased him eastward. In reality, Talinyr had retreated south and crossed the Inland Sea to Chiaroscuro, taking refuge in the Out-of-Towners' Quarter and the Undercity. And thanks to allies that he didn't realize he had, he was eventually taken in by the Cult of the Illuminated and further trained in the use of his Solar abilities.

Although he was publicly disowned, a faction within House Iselsi still secretly supports Talinyr. With the disappearance of the Empress, certain Elders are desperate enough to explore the possiblity of using an Anathema to restore themselves to power. And the Sidereal Gold Faction also seeks to forge Talinyr into a weapon that they can employ against any threats to Creation, whether he likes it or not.
