Dunlaing is a nice guy. You would like him if you met him. His name is Bill, so feel free to call him Bill.
"Dunlaing" is Bill's mythical ancestor. Back in the day, the Irish clan that Bill is descended from claimed to be the "grandsons of Dunlaing" or "UiDunlaing" which eventually was Anglicanized to "O'Dowling" and then finally "Dowling."
