Backstory[edit]

Born to humble circumstances in Nexus, at an early age Vilar knew in his bones he was destined for greater things. As bright and creative as he was ambitious, he managed to take his first step toward that goal by being accepted as a student at the renowned actor school and public theater The Players' Menagerie. Vilar proved to be talented as both an actor and writer, and in few short years managed to become the toast of Nexus. His shows regularly played to packed houses and he became a regular fixture at all the best parties. Enjoying a successful and acclaimed career, Vilar believed he had finally achieved his destiny.

Then the nascent Sidereal shard that lay within him since conception fully blossomed and he learned his current life was only a prologue to a much grander and more significant phase of his existence. That was when he was finally collected by his fellow Chosen. Taken to the Heavenly City of Yu Shan, Vilar was enlightened to the true nature of things while being tutored and trained by various masters in all the lores and disciplines that were deemed useful and necessary for a member of the Five-Score Fellowship.

Once he was deemed ready, Vilar's began his new career in the Bureau of Destiny. Early positive performance reviews enabled him to carve out a comfortable life in Heaven when not working in Creation. A respectable Salary that enabled him to have a townhouse in a nice neighborhood, a small staff of servitor gods and the opportunity to hob nob with important divinities and network with his fellow Chosen at the trendiest establishments in the city. It was during the course of socializing that Vilar was persuaded by colleagues that the Dragon-Blooded alone were not capable of effectively defending Creation from the myriad threats to its existence, leading him to join the Gold Faction.
