If he should ever be reduced once more to marching in the wilderness, we'll see about using his padded tunic. Generally speaking, his excess equipment is stored on Plebeian, along with the party's strongbox.  The armor, strongbox, and other equipment on Plebeian are currently MAYBE around 1000, I'll calculate it more precisely as it approaches 2.5k and gets close enough to the poor beast's limit to be interesting.
