Name and History[edit]

Euryale is a mysterious woman of wealth and taste, or at least she would prefer to present herself as such. For the most part, she's easygoing as long as people don't start trouble with or offend her, though certain things like lip-smacking and chewing with one's mouth open ('How piggish!') can set her off. She venerates Circe and claims descent from her. She comes from Colchis on the Black Sea, and studied on the island of Aeaea.

Her familiar is a white peacock she named Polyphemus, as his white plumage washes out most of the eye-patterns that would normally show in his tail feathers. She claims to have picked him up outside the temple of Hera on Saimos. The priests had cast him out because his unusual plumage showed fewer of those sacred symbols. At least that's what she claims; if her magic called him out of the temple flock then, well, Hera is known for holding epic grudges.
