Background

Hiro is from a noble family that is part of the Greater East-Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere. They rule a great deal of what is left of Japan. As a non-inheriting child, he might have been forced into an undesirable role or a victim of inter-family politics. Instead, he ran away to attend the psychic academy and have space adventures. Hiro has a low opinion of Terra, and does not wish to return there.
