'''Name:''' Yuan Yi Lung
'''Bio:'''

Both of his parents (one of them being the daughter of an Imperial concubine) are alive and love him. He's also got younger sister, who hates his guts, and a younger brother who loves him. She might be hating him for his refusal to marry - it's likely that's harming her own marriage prospects, or at least delaying them. That might well be the reason his brother loves him, though!
To this day, he has only ever had one serious lover: Kao Xue Lin. She still loves him, and he loves her back.
Trouble is, she's from the family of traders and he met her in the teahouse of her family - just next to the Blue Lotus - while his guards were beating some rowdy customers which were causing trouble due to their lack of good manners.
Of course, that had to be settled, but he managed to strike a deal with the 38 Dragons to have the teahouse under their protection. They struck a deal on their own with the Triad, he guesses - but he refuses to associate with the Motherless Killers. He made friends among the 38 dragons, though, proving that loyalty might exist even among criminals. It's just better not to count on it.

Yet, that single glance, exchanged long ago, had lead to a love blossoming...
Trouble is, he couldn't take the guards along when sneaking away. And most importantly, much as he tried to hide, they captured him once and his parents expressed their disapproval of his choice in no uncertain terms. After that, he sought the advice of a diviner, which lead him to meeting... a nature spirit. She was benevolent to his plight and taught him to sneak like a spirit - with no kung-fu yet - but when he yearned to learn more, she arranged for him to meet a Sifu.
His Sifu was quite unconventional, a heretical Buddhist monk nicknamed Heaven Dragon, who fought ruthlessly, drank and professed that fighting is the way to freedom from illusions. Not insisting on many of the formal requirements of student-teacher relationship - 'cause I'm not becoming like father to you, kid - they became fast friends instead.
His parents reasoned that this was better than seeing a low-born girl, and silently endured their trips and drunken revelries. The guards never caught him again! Not last because of the help of a good-hearted courtesan. He owes a lot to the Water Fairy!
Heaven Dragon had also two female students who hated the young man, much as he tried to persuade them otherwise - possibly they were afraid he's getting closer to his teacher than them, and might receive his powerful secret technique known as the One Under Heavens Wise Palm of Justice!
Any rumours that he or the teacher might have had some short-lived relationships with one or both of them, or any other insinuations, are purely insinuations and should be treated as such! Not that it would stop people from talking, but he doesn't like his reputation being tarnished and always denies it vigorously.
He has met interesting people. The sick gambler needed help, and Yuan tried to be close whenever he might need it. The Iron Butterfly... he respects her, and admires her kung-fu. He also hopes she respects him as well, for helping the common people himself.
And then his teacher was killed. Even if he never formally acknowledged him as a student, he was a friend.
And friends are avenged, whether you have learned the whole style or just half of it. So here he is, in the Drunken Dragon Inn, enjoying the performance of the Sisters, yet looking for clues and allies.
