| − | After the great disaster - the event that saw many wulin schools, small and large, get eradicated through coordinated bomb attacks set by unknown villains - many homeless tudents were swept up by the remaining Great Two - the Tiger and the Dragon. Some people, for various reasons of their own, didn´t want to bend knee to these established powerhouses - and through this act of defiance, the Black Crane school was born! Claiming the place as a Great School in place of the destroyed Vermillion Phoenix School, it has managed to claw itself into a position of relative fame and influence.

| − | The Jade Dragon used to be an all-girls school, run behind the scenes (though perhaps not entirely in secret) by the Resplendent Phenix Society, working for the betterment of women in the Wulin and SZ City at large. Recently, though, and seemingly by clerical error they have become much more gender-mixed. Coming from a long tradition of honor and martial excellency, the Jade Dragon even has the Emperor´s daughter among their students.
