Background

Garrett had only been back on the street for three months before the infection hit. His last two years had been spent on Riker's Island on a Breaking and Entering charge. But right now, his past is a closely guarded secret, especially from Officer Browning. He'd rather be the mechanic from Bed Stuy who knows how to get things running than the ex-con carjacker, since from what he can tell, their old lives are dead and gone.
