Character Backstory

Zotikos is the youngest son of Asclepius (and a grandson of Apollo), and was only a toddler when his older brothers went to fight at Troy. When he was eight years old his father, a famous and accomplished healer, upset the balance by restoring the dead to life and was killed by a lightning bolt sent from Zeus at Hades' request.

In an effort to restore the balance Asclepius had upset, his family sent Zotikos to the Nekromanteion at Epirus to serve Hades. He grew up there and became a cleric of the god.

Later, because Apollo protested his death, Asclepius was elevated to Olympos to become a god himself, something Zotikos finds something of an embarrassment.

In recent years he's been sent to travel with those with the makings of heroes. The balance can't be kept solely from inside a temple.
