Faye Valentine Character Gen[edit]

Faye's Aspects:[edit]

Phase One: Growing Up

A literal blank, as Faye can't remember it.

Phase One Aspects:

- Amnesiac without a past

- Unassigned, x 1.

Phase Two: Starting Out

Faye woke in a hospital with no family or friends, having been in cryogenic freeze after the Gate Accident for many decades. She can't remember who she originally was, and has no ties or resources. She had a staggering level of debt built up over the decades of medical care with interest, and was otherwise a ghost in the system. Even worse, she was betrayed by one of the few people she thought she could trust, increasing her debt even further.

Phase Two Aspects:

- Astronomical debt

- 'Once bitten, twice shy' means fundamentally untrusting

Phase Three: Moment of Crisis

Ever since being betrayed, Faye has roamed the solar system gambling and taking crazy risks in an attempt to gather enough money to get out of her debt - which itself unrealistic and dangerous. That said, what else can she do? She's lost in an unfamiliar society and has no support.

And she doesn't want support, because it's worked so well in the past...

Phase Three Aspects:

- Looking for the easy way out

- Tough exterior

Phase Four: Sidetracked

   {Traditionally, this is where we involve the Phases of one of the other characters, particularly someone elses' moment of crisis. However, that doesn't fit Cowboy Bebop's context.}

Travelling in her ship, the Red Tail, Faye has caused enough trouble for there to be a bounty out on her. She runs into Jet and Spike on several occasions, continually escaping whenever they lock her up, and eventually helping in return for a share of the theoretical bounty.

Phase Four Aspects:

- The Red Tail: a weaponised home in which to roam.

- Manipulative mercenary with a lot of bad habits.

Phase Five: On Your Own

Faye is part of the Bebop's crew, much to the bemusement of Jet and Spike. She takes the opportunity to slack off now that she's not responsible for wholly supporting herself on her own... but in many ways the Bebop is the first safe place she's had for as long as she can remember.

Phase Five Aspects:

- Lazy when she can get away with it.

- The Bebop is a family; damaged and broken, but family.

   {Nineveh suggests Faye needs an aspect regarding the fact she's extremely unlucky with the men in her life.  This works, since Faye had one previously unassigned Aspect.}

- Swap a Skill: Can use Piloting instead of Vehicle for operating the Red Tail inside environments like space-stations and other circumstances where it shouldn't be.
