миш or "Mische" (pron. "Meesh") is a lurker on Grasshopper Station, supremely plugged into everything that goes on in the alleyways and byways. She's admitted to being a Reader in Niska's employ and has hinted that she would like to leave, but can only do that if Niska is dead.










Director Werner

A bureaucratic man with a menacing air, the man is known for his ruthless enforcement of the Station's neutrality in some rather ... unconventional ways. The Director has a distinct taste for torture in meting out punishments for breaking station laws.

UNANSWERED QUESTIONS[edit]

  1. When did Niska take over Grasshopper Station?
  2. Given the draconian neutrality regulations enforced on the station, how long can the station last before one side or the other of the conflict either takes the station by force or simply blows it up?
  3. Since Niska is on Ezra and not actually on the station, is it possible the neutrality measures and their enforcement were left entirely in Director Werner's hands?
  4. What will happen to Director Werner once Niska finds out that the man let prisoners escape, especially prisoners with valuable cargo?
  5. Where did Mische come from?
    1. Was she a Blue Sun escapee like Joshua?
    2. Or was she a former member of Aegis, the second-generation/post Blue Sun incarnation of the Academy?
    3. Or is she unaffiliated with Aegis or Blue Sun, and is a free agent who got appropriated by Niska?
  6. What exactly was the frigate IAV Lacy carrying?
    1. Was it really a cargo of BTs (BioTechs)?
    2. Or was the mental distress Joshua picked up generated by Mische herself?
  7. Where was IAV Lacy going with the BTs?
  8. Where did the BTs on the IAV Lacy come from?
