Tara D'vol[edit]

"Death is but the beginning"

Race: Valenar elf

Classification: Uber, True necromancer, Dragonmark heir (death)

Appearance: A female elf, with mid length black hair, Flawless alabaster skin and stormy grey eyes. Her build is lithe with little muscle. Her facial features bear some resemblance to Sa’vor's, but they lack any feral features whatsoever, replaced with elegant features. She stands at about five foot eleven and has a purposely blank expression. She wears black hooded silk robes, with a similar-coloured sash about her waist. A spell component pouch graces her one side, along with a belt, several belt pouches and a scroll case. A curved silver dagger is the only physical weapon she has on her, its blade is silvered and engraved with several powerful magic runes. Strapped over her back is a long wooden staff, which is heavily engraved with magical runes. Her eyes burn with a fierce intellect, but also with a little sadness. She appears to be at least twenty-five, though from her eyes it's easy to tell she’s far older.

Background: Tara had always been interested in Necromancy, ever since she was a small child. As she grew, she began to learn as much magic as she could, gathering small amounts of knowledge and law. She began to expermient with the manipulation of lifeforce, she was good at it. She had been forced to learn it on her own, as no one was willing to teach a child necromantic magic. By the time she was eighty she managed for the first time to Animate a rat, and with this hint of success she dove further and further into the dark law, attempting to learn as much as she could. She pushed the the limits of the craft beyond where anyone had reached in a long time and even managed to " Acquire" some tomes on the subject from some adventurers that had recently left Xen'drick. Eventualy she met Naz'roth (while he was possessing Sa'vor) and she was thrilled. She finally had someone to learn from. And teach her Naz'roth did, within those short weeks she learned secrets lost for ages. But she knew that she still didn't know everything. It was when the paladins attacked her home she was forced to flee via plane-shifting, By accident she ended up in Mabar. It was here that she finaly Donned the Black robes. it was also in Mabar that she realised that she had fallen in love with Naz'roth.

Currently, Tara spends her time either training the Half-Dragon forces of Sa'vor or experimenting in an attempt to drive her magical knowledge to new heights, though she is still consumed with a hatred of the paladins that slew her family and one day plans to get her revenge on them. In terms of Allegiance to the crew, if ever Naz'roth takes to the battlefield or fights alongside the crew, then so shall she, bringing forth death to all whom stand against them.

Magical Abilities: Powerful, matching the other ubers. Tara is more subtle in her application of magic, prefering to stay away from flashy evocations and focusing on Necromantic effects to retain her advantage. When she takes to the battlefield, Tara lays down multiple restricting hexes and effects focused on weakening or hampering her opponents. If on her own, she'll lay down several massive death effects and animate the bodies as undead servitors, with which she'll form a barrier between her and her enemies, unleashing negative energy blasts at the front line. Alongside Naz'roth, she merely weakens her foes and allows him to pick them off with his own spells.

Roleplaying Hints: Patient and thoughtful, Tara tends to mother the d'Vol group (Naz'roth, Sithis and Feal-Thas). She also tends to be overprotective towards them. Her and Naz'roth have a deep relationship, though they are both extremely private about it and won't show it in public. Both of them only truly open up to the other. To other crew members Tara shows respect to her Long term allies ( Ubers and veteran Scum), to others she is indifferent. Tara is extremely motherly to Sithis, which at times has caused fits of giggles from the other second-generation characters as she does what all mothers do to their children: Severely embarrass him in public.
