Known Details

• Sun's family emigrated to the United States in 1970, when Sun was two.
• An LPN at the local hospital, Sun works overnight shifts and takes as much overtime as they'll let her, which means she have very few hours when she's at home at the same time as the kids.
• The Korean heritage shows more on some of the Paparteys kids than others. Anyone who's never met Nellie's mother or certain of her siblings might not ever guess she was half-Korean.
• Little-known fact: Sun was Miss Hawaii AND Miss Teen USA in 1985.
• Her English has no trace of an accent, but she is also fluent in Korean and the kids all speak at least some Korean(enough to get a few extra laughs watching Adventure Time).
