Mousling
Appearance[edit]
Exactly like mice, but bigger and standing upright. But don't mention that fact in front of one. It is impolite.
They are 45 to 50 cm tall, and usually wear no clothes except a few straps to hang their tools and pouches on.
Biology[edit]
Winter dormancy
The mouslings sleep through the whole winter, waking up for an hour every few days to fill up on food and water. While the tribe sleeps, the shaman watches over their dreams, driving out nightmares and malignant spirits.
Diet
All kinds of plant and aquatic food found in Shaema. They do not prepare food and eat it raw, but they have a taste for gnomish recipes and new foods that merchants bring from far off lands.
Language[edit]
Even though they often adopt local languages, mouslings have no need for language among them selves. Their usage of it depends on the tribes' proximity to other races. They use no names, recognizing them selves by smell, but they often take up a local names so to make communication easier for their neighbors.
