Background

Simon's parent's have been divorced since the earliest he can remember, his mother a member of the united states marines, and his father a computer programmer. Being passed back and forth between his parents has given him a pessimistic view on life, and so far he hasn't seen much to disprove that view, however much he might wish something would.

At the time he was sent off to boarding school, as he sees it, he grew depressed enough to try an old norse ritual he had found on the internet, that said it would awaken the wolf within. He doesn't remember much after that, mainly a searing light, the sound of wolfsong, and the feeling that someone had let a drunken dwarf with a chainsaw loose inside his head.... but when he awoke he found he was different. Faster. Stronger. Recovering with great speed under the moonlight, and capable of seeing in the dark. Unsure and frightened of what happened, he can not escape the feeling that he agreed to something he can not remember the terms too. Well, time to hope a new school does offer a new start. He has the feeling he might need one.
