Background[edit]

What is Your Personality Like? Novus Constantine (full name Vice-Markgraf Novissimus XIX Constantinogenitus Fundee) combines an aristocratic sense of entitlement with an insatiable curiosity about the human body and mind. He is quite open about this fascination and will insist on examining everyone for various horrendous illnesses he hopes they kindly happen to be carrying for his study.

How Did You Meet Your Inquisitor? Novus’s curiosity went too far on occasion. Although his wealthy merchant family used their connections to get him into the Colleges Hetaireia Lexis, his study of mutation and psykers led him into forbidden waters where he attracted the attention of the Inquisition. While the Colleges’ Charter protected him from legal sanction, the Inquisition used the potential scandal for his family to draft Novus’s skills to their cause.

What Does The Inquisition Mean To You? Novus has convinced himself that he’s doing the Inquisition a favour and works happily for them. He considers most of the organisation to be staffed by uncouth yobs who are, nevertheless, regrettably necessary. His Inquisitor values his unique combination of cluelessness, work ethic and skill and so now trusts him with important, albeit carefully circumscribed jobs – Novus is too obtuse to be disloyal.

What Will You Sacrifice? Novus will sacrifice almost anyone else for his own convenience, all the while telling himself that he’s doing the right thing, sometimes even by the people in question. This is especially true with social inferiors. He will not sacrifice himself unless that would mean betraying the Inquisition or his family.

What do you desire? Novus desires knowledge, especially as regards the human body and mind and its various forms and mutations. He also spends a lot of time testing his own body with all kinds of alcohol, drugs and carnal vices.

What do you Hate? Psykers. He tells himself that it’s because they’re privileged brats who are given special treatment when they should be either put down or vivisected. It may also be because he’s jealous that they’ll know things he never will. The only exception to this hatred are Navigators: they’re uncanny, but are from respectable families.
