Salt Coast: Galewrath
An elemental spirit resides within the sands of the Ferrous Waste, known to mortals as Galewrath. The power of that spirit rises like a stationary twister tree leagues in diameter, towering over the sands and whipping them in a violent tearing vortex that reaches into the sky.
Some say the Gyre is an arcane ward, imprisoning the elemental. Others claim the Gyre of the Sands is the elemental's body in the world and that it is some greater being that wrestles to hold it in place. All fear that one day the ward or the being will fail and Galewrath will be loosed on the world.
