Phoenix Families[edit]

Shiba Ninto[edit]
The Clan Champion and daimyo of the Shiba family, Ninto is 37 years old and has occupied this position since his predecessor died of old age some 17 years ago. Ninto has done nothing noteworthy in his time, and seems happy to act as a mouthpiece for the Elemental Council.
Asako Heishi[edit]
The Master of Air and current Jade Champion, Heishi is 30 years old, and has trained with both the Isawa and the Kuni. He has a reputation as a zealous enemy of the Bloodspeakers, and some would saw he is perhaps too fanatical in his devotion to this cause.
Isawa Moroto[edit]
The Master of Earth, the 22 year old Moroto is seldom seen outside of Kyuden Isawa. An ally of Asako Heishi, Moroto was supposedly an average student at best until he encountered the Oracle of Earth. Since then, he has advanced in his studies remarkably.
Agashi Hiroshi[edit]
The Master of Fire, Hiroshi is married to a Crab woman, and shares their dislike for the entities of the Shadowlands. He lost his left arm in an incident in his youth that he never discusses. Although his powers are often destructive in nature, he is one of the leading diplomats for the Phoenix, though he still bears the brunt of Dragon anger over the Agashi's move to the Phoenix.
Isawa Hitomi[edit]
The Master of Water, Hitomi is a 42 year old woman who is a firm favorite at winter court due to her vivacity and cheerfulness. She is said to be able to outmatch an eagle in her perception.
Isawa Akima[edit]
The Master of Void, Akima is an attractively-shaped woman in her 20s. She is famed for wearing a black silk mask which even covers her eyes, but she appears to suffer no disability despite this. More than one courtier has written love poems to her based solely on the beauty of her voice, but she remains unmarried.

A competitor at the Topaz Tournament.
