The State of Grace

The State of Grace is a commonwealth of non-intergalactic society member alien civilizations that were converted to Christianity by Jesuit missionaries and then unexpectedly unite behind that development. Unifying their economies and industry they were able to, with outside help, manufacture a small government fleet of ships approaching the galactic standard but they are still in the stage of industrialization as a nation.

Governed by democratic and wellfare state principles based on the Christian virtues, this racially diverse people have prospered primarily, as they see it, on divine intervention. Despite military inferiority when they were forced to defend themselves from an invading armada a timely natural disaster occurred, wrecking the enemy fleet. They feel this was a response to their prayers and because of it have not changed their mostly non-aggressive attitude.
