Description

Relatively young, with pale blond hair falling just past his shoulders framing slightly odd but not unattractive features, Janus has the characteristic tall, thin build of someone who grew up in a low gravity enviroment.

He doesn't tend to show his teeth when he smiles. Not when he's smiling at people he actually likes anyway.

He normally dresses in a millitary style, and if it wasn't for the scarf embroidered with a stylized eye he wears wrapped around his forhead could usually pass for some sort of mid-ranked Naval officer. (His great coat is a Imperial Navy coat - the circumstances of its aquisition would have made returning it to its rightful owner ... awkward)

Gear[edit]

Good craftmanship hand cannon, Best craftmanship xeno-mesh armour, Mars pattern navy pistol from The Medusa, Mid-ranking Imperial Navy Officer's great coat, micro bead, Navigator Milbrandts's possessions from the Dark Wolf (including his library, strange psychic crystal collection, wardrobe, wine collection, identification papers and comfy chair), a squad of underpaid yet loyal armsmen from the Medusa (personal security detail), and charts of uncharted areas of the Koronus expanse.

Origin[edit]

Void Born
Out in the near reaches of the Koronos Expanse floats Medusa Station; a ramshackle station built up over the centuries around the wreck of the Medusa, a void ship who's maiden voyage ended when she came out of Warp space and ploughed straight into a rather large asteroid. It's also the last holding of House Karjotas, a once wealthy Navigator house. (Now a shrouded house, -1 PF)

Savant
Long hours studying and memorising star charts left Janus far more interested in the blank spaces and the sections marked 'Here be dragons' than it's really sensible to be.

Hunted (Lure of the Void option from ITS)
A crazy cousin decided that the only way for House Karjotas to reclaim its former glory is to make sure that they're in charge. And the way to do that is to murder their way up the chain of sucession. Janus just had the misfortune to be on the wrong side in relation to crazy cousin, and after surviving one attempt on his life, decided it was time to leave Medusa.

(If it's okay with Scarik I figure he found old contracts between his house and the Banain dynasty and used those to get into post on the Alleged Victory? - possibly the contracts date from before the fall of one or both of their houses, so neither side is getting exactly what they expect.)

The trials and tribulations step was originally Dark Voyage, which was used as the hook to explain a fairly down and out Navigator turning up on a nice prestigious ship, but may change that as that's no longer the case.

Motivation is Fortune
Get out, see the universe, make a name for himself, never have to set foot on Medusa again.
