Truncata clam

This clam has good meat and a shell with magical properties. It spends it's life in deep mud and would be hard to find were it not for the moon bloom. In just a few hours the flower grows out of the clam right up to the surface of the water. When the moon is visible the flower blooms and makes the clam easy to find.

Uses:

The shell of an elderly truncata has magical and alchemical properties, it's powder a popular binding agent for many healing spells and potions. One shell counts as being worth 100 gold when used in creating healing and protective potions and rituals.
