Ariadne Finch nee Kendall: Scientist Arcane and Mundane. Wife of Pieter. Fervent believer that Magic can be manipulated through application of scientific measures and apparatus.
Nicholas Varney: Celebrated Spiritualist and con man.
Samuel Thackery Oxford Don of Literature and Ancient Languages and inveterate gambler.
Isabelle Pickering: Young Debutante and haunted woman.
