Mal'rock is a village centered around, and on a garos'thuja tree. The inhabitants make no distinction of the two and refer to both tree and village as Mal'rock. Wherein the surrounding land seems to be devoured by the waters, the Trees' roots allow for an area higher and drier. Here a tribe of gnomes dug their burrows centuries ago, and mouslings made a home out of the thick branches.

Intro

When seeing a fully grown garos'thuja tree for the first time the mind tends to have trouble processing how far away the tree stands. The first clue of its actual size are the dots sailing above and around the gargantuan canopy. Whatever the size of those birds, they seem mere gnats on an ogre.
