Matt, thanks for the meinton and further (and improved) riff on my thinking. Actually, I don't really agree with much of anything Gary is promoting; the very idea that engagement is something new is kinda laughable, or that engagement has any absolute value separate from the substance of whatever is engaged upon. Cultures and economies have been based on collaboration and reciprocity throughout history, giving us thousands of years of proven research on what works and why. My premise is that we're about to move past all of the easy pop business theories that ignore this reality, and move into a phase wherein businesses harness social technologies to do a better job of what they've always done. A thank you economy? Great title but there's no there there. Anyway, thanks again for the meinton.JSB
