(re: Jasra)

Fiona – A nightmare incarnate would be an adequate description of her, except a nightmare would be better dressed.

(re: Vialle as an Owl)

Random – It’s Vialle, not Vi-owl.

Ken – Vialle’s in fine feather this evening.

Baron(ess) Sancha – Merlin, the foul pretender? May his heart be eaten by the Serpent.

La Rubio – That seems a bit harsh.

Ken - La Rubio’s sanity is hanging by the merest of threads…and you’re yanking on it!

The Adventure[edit]

In the aftermath of losing the duel in the courtyard, Julian leaves in a huff insisting someone make a trump of Evelyn. Cyrus tells her he can help her with her trump problem. Her name is Sancha Hendrake, and she thinks La Rubio has a better claim to the throne of chaos than Merlin does. She says that some of Brand’s old enemies may be trying to do in his children. She says that the recent dinner was not one of the new-comers first time in Amber. Fi says that Caine’s daughter has been acting as his agent for some time, and has been in and out of Amber in various disguises. Caine has had his eye on Kashfa, Kashfa belonged to Brand, so any of Brand’s kids stand to inherit Kashfa. She gives both of them machine gun pistols. Clark tells her of his anesthesia bullets, and questions Fi‘s motives about killing Sancha. Fi says no further study of Sancha is needed and there’s a possibility of contamination. Clark says he’s taken a vow against taking life, and Fi asks for her gun back. They leave and debate philosophy.

Cyrus uses the card and appears on the beacg where Gwenyth and Sancha are coming toward Aber. Cyrus aims his gun and Sancha changes into a sword-armed creature. Cyrus fires, Sancha attacks.
