Awaken Weapon

Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Touch
Target: Weapon touched or fifty projectiles (all of which must be in contact with each other at the time of casting)
Duration: 1 min./level
Saving Throw: Will negates (harmless, object)
Spell Resistance: Yes (harmless, object)
This spell functions like align weapon, but rather than granting the weapon an alignment, it awakens the sleeping kami of a particular element within the weapon. This causes the weapon to gain an elemental descriptor, allowing it to overcome certain types of damage resistance. A shugenja may only awaken the kami of the shugenja’s elemental focus, and this spell counts as a spell of the shugenja’s elemental focus when learned and cast.

The Fires From Within

Range: Long (400 ft. + 40 ft./level)
Target: One or two creatures
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Reflex half
Spell Resistance: Yes
The shugenja casting this spell summons forth a bolt of flame, sending it at his foes from the tips of his fingers. If directed at a single target, the bolt deals 1d6+1 fire damage per caster level to the target (to a maximum of 12d6+12). If directed at two targets, the spell deals 1d6+1 fire damage per two caster levels to each target (to a maximum of 6d6+6). In order to hit the target, the caster must make a ranged touch attack. If directing the spell at two targets, make a single ranged touch attack roll for both targets, comparing the result to each target’s AC separately.

Your blood becomes charged with the power of the fire spirits, who urge other kami in the area to hurry to your command. The next spell you cast within the duration, if it has a casting time of 1 full round or less, has its casting time reduced to a free action. This functions just as if you had used the Quicken Spell metamagic feat on it, though you do not have to increase your casting time or use a higher level spell slot, and counts toward your limit of one quickened spell per round.

Symbol of Fire
Enchantment (Compulsion) [Fire, Mind-Affecting]

This spell functions like symbol of death, except that each creature within the radius of a symbol of fire instead becomes blinded. In addition to the obvious effects, a blinded character takes a –2 penalty to Armor Class, loses his Dexterity bonus to AC (if any), moves at half speed, and takes a –4 penalty on Search checks and on most Strength- and Dexterity-based skill checks. All checks and activities that rely on vision (such as reading and Spot checks) automatically fail. All opponents are considered to have total concealment (50% miss chance) to the blinded character. These effects last for 1 hour after the creature moves farther than 60 feet from the symbol. Unlike symbol of death, symbol of fire has no hit point limit; once triggered, a symbol of fire simply remains active for 10 minutes per caster level.
Note: Magic traps such as symbol of fire are hard to detect and disable. A rogue (only) can use the Search skill to find a symbol of fire and Disable Device to thwart it. The DC in each case is 25 + spell level, or 31 for symbol of fire.
Material Component: Mercury and phosphorus, plus powdered diamond and opal with a total value of at least 1,000 gp.

Touch of Nothing
Transmutation [Void]
Level: Void 3
This spell functions like awaken weapon, giving the weapon the Void descriptor for the duration. The weapon is also able to be wielded by and against incorporeal creatures, as though it were a ghost touch weapon.
