AGT ANNOUNCES STAR CINEMA MEGAPLEX & IMAX TO OPEN IN WASHINGTON, D.C.[edit]
AGT ENTERPRISES, INC. of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, is pleased to announce the opening of the new Star Cinema IMAX. The new complex in Washington, D.C. includes the IMAX theatre, 32 digital screens in stadium seating auditoriums equipped with THX 9.5 speaker Dolby Digital surround sound and two full concession stands. This makes the complex the largest Star Cinema in current use and one of the largest theater systems in the Washington, D.C. area. This is a first for the small Wisconson-based company, which has recently begun to expand and develop after its near collapse only a few months ago. The company shows new hope for the future with this far-ranging expansion into the District of Columbia.

The IMAX Experience
The Star Cinema IMAX in Washington, D.C. will offer both educational, documentary style IMAX films and Hollywood event films digitally re-mastered into the unparalleled image and sound quality that only IMAX can offer. The unique combination of IMAX's 15:70 film format, specially designed curved screen and powerful multi-channel digital surround sound system will provide Star Cinema IMAX moviegoers with an immersive and extraordinary cinematic experience.
The first feature films shown at the Star Cinema IMAX will be Space Station 3D and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire: The IMAX Experience. Space Station 3D is the first-ever IMAX 3D space film. Audiences will travel 220 miles above the Earth at 17,500 mph to experience Space Station 3D - the greatest engineering feat since landing a man on the moon. The movie tells the story of the unique partnership of 16 nations building a laboratory in outer space - a permanent facility for the study of the effects of long-duration exposure to zero gravity and the necessary first step towards the global co-operative effort needed if man is to someday set foot on Mars. It is a story of challenges, setbacks and triumphs... and ultimately, the shared international victory of men and women whose dreams exceed the limits of life on the earth.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is the fourth installment in the beloved Harry Potter franchise, and the second to be digitally re-mastered into IMAX's format, following the successful June 2004 release of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban: The IMAX Experience.
