ATHANATOS: chimerae
Chimerae are alchemically created biological host bodies. Since they are often infused with magic and don’t have to adhere to the same standards as animals, they can have a fantastic variety of forms, although ultimately they too have their limitations. They are expensive to grow, but they are often worth it.

GURPS Game Mechanics[edit]
Feel free to go wild with the stats for chimerae – they can have pretty much any form as long as it is biological in some form, and since magic features highly in the process of their creation, they may have magical powers (such as the fire breath of dragons). As a general rule, they should have less ST and DR as a golem of the same size, but their DX may be higher. All chimerae are sterile, however – their highly unnatural physiology prevents the creation of any offspring.
