What is a soul? No one quite seems to have an answer. And yet, it is an important factor in many things. Most importantly to the Dreamfolk, it is functions as both mind and body. They are beings of composed entirely of soulstuff held together by their own psychic energies. As such, they can appear as what ever they what and can inhabit the bodies of corporeal mortals. They get their name from both their preference to touch sleeping minds and the fact that they cannot hide their true nature will in a dreamscape. Most are like normal people interms of temperament, but one dreamfolk, known as Klarpsthnaol or the Nightmare Who Wears Your Face is one of the Masters of Umdaar and rules via mind-controlling their victims and inducing shared night-terrors en masse. Argee, on the other hand, wishes to preserve what Klarsthnaol destroys and works as an Archaeonaut to help protect not just from the Nightmare Who Wears Your Face, but from any and all things that may bring harm to the world at large.

Stunts[edit]

Dreamwalking: You can physically enter another's mind. This lets you occupy the same space as them as well as make psychic attacks against the target. If the target is taken out or willing, you can control there body, using the better of your two values for any given approach. You also receive all physical stress that your "host" does.

Formless Entity (Clever): You can use Clever to Create an Advantage representing how you imitate a physical form and get +2 to do so.

  • Invokes: To be unimpeded by material objects or for more mundane pathfinding.
  • Compels: To be vulnerable to energy-based phenomenon or have curiosity get the better of them.
  • Permissions: To have dreamfolk exist on Umdaar, be in good standing with several explorer's guilds, and perform telepathic actions.

  • Compels: To have them obsess over knowledge preservation or be overtaken by loss aversion.
  • Permissions: To have/be an comprehensive and infallible record of everything that they've observed, including information from other records.

  • Invokes: In attempts to peacefully resolve situations.
  • Compels: To dissuade them from acting violently.
  • Permissions: To peacefully resolve situations, even if the G.M. would otherwise disallow it.
