Background[edit]

Red Bev or Jonstown Bev. Dogface to her detractors. Real name Alakora Goodwalk


29 year old female, family from Jonstown, Issaries traders .Her father has recently converted to Etyries. Her mother is a healer at the House of Peace in Jonstown. Settled in Pavis 6 years ago, after working as a caravan guard/medic (7 years) on many of the overland routes between Tarsh , Jonstown and Pavis. Travelling as far as Balazar on one occasion. Arriving here with one of her father’s caravans she decided to call it a day. After a year of sporadic adventuring in the Big Rubble she tired of her compatriots dying so easily and signed up with the watch. She has been their combat medic ever since.

Small, wiry, dark skinned and immensely tough she won’t back down from a fight. She’s quick with her fists and carries a stout hardwood club, a small shield and sling. Slung across her shoulder is a well stocked first aid kit. She will put others well being first in any fight, using her shield to protect fallen friends while she heals them and attacking anyone who prevents her doing her job. Her faith means that she has no restrictions on using weapons, There's many a drunk idiot fooled into thinking she's easy game , only to wake up nursing a broken nose. Her medical skills are extensive and what she doesn’t know about herbs isn’t worth knowing. Cool and calm in all situations that concern large quantities of gore.

Not overly gregarious she knows everyone in the watch equally well. She’s not bothered by the disfiguring scar across her face anymore , a memento she picked up in a Telmori raid before she became a medic and a constant reminder of the need of fast first aid. Around her throat is a wolf claw necklace.

Both her siblings have died at the hands of Telmori, and she gets her name from the red scarf she wears, torn from her dead brothers riding cloak . Only her father remains, now somewhere in Tarsh, leaving his brothers to run the Jonstown Trade business.

She’s not concerned by the Lunars all that much and is tired of the constant whingeing of Sartarites. She likes the no nonsense Pavis people and has adapted to her new home.

Friendly, happily single and lives by herself At 0 20 in a room above her uncle’s warehouse. Pretty much opposite the watch house

Her Uncle Tarkalor. lives D 46 "Goodwalkers ...We put the good back into trade" or some such drivel..Ties with Gringle Goodsell? Tarkalor Goodwalk is her father’s trade representative in New Pavis. Wealthy trader who has recently rented the building 0 20. where he has offices and store rooms. The Jonstown traders are starting to muscle in to New pavis trade. Her fathers conversion to the lunar trade god is a move to ingratiate themselves with the Lunar authorities. There are several scribes, muleteers, animal handlers and guards also based here (including her mule Rosco).


She can be found at the Vinga temple on occasion, chewing the fat and sharing first aid and unarmed combat tips .

Knows the Chalana Arroy healers, who frown on her, but humour her thanks to her mothers renown.

Knows most of the locals in her area who come to her for the treating of minor ailments.

She has adopted a street urchin girl Margii, aged 8. She turns up at inappropriate moments.

Local drinking spot is Jareens at O 14. occasionally at the Bristle inn and of course off duty where ever the watch goes..her herbal headache cure is famous
