SIGNATURE ASSETS[edit]

  • ExoFrame Work Rig (d8): An industrial-grade exoskeleton with lift assist, winches, and integrated tools. Keeps him moving—barely.
  • Corporate-Grade Implants (d8): Once the gold standard for executive augmentation, these now-jury-rigged implants run Knox’s nervous system on borrowed time. Originally built for cognitive enhancement and sensory analysis, they now double as a spinal bridge—keeping his legs moving and his hands steady through a patchwork of neural reroutes, stim-feeds, and grim determination.

BACKGROUND[edit]

Once, Maxim Calder ran VectorCore—an energy titan with its claws sunk deep into the infrastructure of half the eastern settlements. Ruthless and visionary, he signed off on enough quiet coups and corporate seizures to be cursed from Appalachia to the Atlantic.

Then came the explosion. An assassination attempt, orchestrated by his own board. They failed.

The blast left him broken—but not finished. He disappeared from the headlines, patched himself together with salvaged tech and ghost-clearance implants no one remembered to revoke. He scrubbed his name, rewrote his past, and reemerged as Knox—a mechanic with a limp, a head full of schematics, and fire behind his eyes.

Now he rides with Mercy, keeping her systems tuned with scorched fingertips and muttered code. His gait is stiff. His body, barely held together by the frame he built. But his mind? Still razor-sharp. He may have lost the suit and tie, but the long game never left him—and behind those grizzled eyes, he's always running the numbers.
