The Plot[edit]

Here's the plot, step by step, in basic terms. More details in the links.

The beginning[edit]

We have some strange opening cut-scenes concerning Enzi and Uzi in the presence of the Black Aspect, the tailend of their big idealistic argument, then Lamb Shank stating that 'it was time' and giving Flock orders to 'begin at Hebron.'

Getting on with it[edit]

Enzi decides he needs to go off and stop Uzi doing something stupid. He goes outside and says goodbye to Bob on his way out, getting some Grove Apples in the process. He makes his way out into the world.

Before too long, he runs into a bandit hideout. These bandits have captured King Roland and his sexy daughter Leen. Enzi makes short work of the baddies, and the King promises that if he comes to the Royal Castle in Darlan he will suitably rewarded. Spurred on by the promise of gold pieces and attractive princesses, Enzi heads right over.

Darlan[edit]

The first thing that happens to Enzi is that his wallet gets stolen. The next thing is that he notices that there are no guards in the town. Getting his wallet back, he also discovers that the Royal Castle is locked, much to his chargrin. He sets about an inane series of quests, doing the dirty work for the townspeople, in order to get a key. In the process, he meets Cid the unhappy harpist, blows up Jim's physical-reality-defying tent business, encounters Melinda and hears of her 'boyfriend', and activates the first of the Grain Robots for the lazy Granary attendent.

Inside the castle, Enzi finds everyone dead. Not pleasing. He progresses further down the halls to be confronted by the Grain Robot he helped build. He destroys it, and enters the now empty throne room. Lamenting the missed opportunity for help in tracking down Uzi, Lamb Shank strolls into the room. They converse briefly, wherein we establish that Lamb Shank is supposedly someone important, he's captured the King and Princess, that he has an army of super-powered warriors called the Legendary Swords whom Enzi must fight one at a time, and that Enzi is not impressed by him.

Lamb Shanks lets on that if Enzi is quick, he can catch up with the captured Royalty in the Sewers (which, strangely enough, can be accessed directly from the Throne Room). Lamb Shank magics himself away, and Enzi pursues the hot princess and her dad.

Down in the sewers he deal with stupid switch and rock puzzles, and encounters a store that sells Jack Daniels. It doesn't get too much business, being located at the bottom of a slime-monster infested sewer. Enzi also runs across a book - The Swords of Myth.

He then comes upon none other than Hoth the Ethereal, and watches him destroy a couple of Lamb Shank's flunkies. Once Hoth determines that Enzi isn't a threat, he learns of him that the King has been kidnapped. Hoth tells Enzi - much to Enzi's annoyance - to clean out the rest of the enemies in the sewers while he heads off directly to find the King.

In the next room, Enzi encounters Leen in a cage. She is surprised that it's this guys she's only met recently, and not Hoth, who has come to rescue her. She tries to warn Enzi, but the first Legendary Sword appears - Gromit the Bludger. He thought it was Flock coming for the other prisoner, but is shocked to note that it's only some bum with a pony tail. In a fractionally more difficult than it sounds battle, Enzi beats Gromit, and sets Leen free. She is hesitant to go with someone she barely knows, but wants to go find her father. They head off together.

Cutscenes! Hoorah![edit]

Melinda and Cid are talking about some sort of deal that Cid is unexcitedly advocating on behalf of his 'master'. Melinda and her boyfriend are not into it. Cid is unphased. Melinda tells him to cheer up.
