A Japanese defector from the cult that initially created Palasi, having joined the Unavowed when they came to realize the cult's idea of the golden age seemed suspiciously human - and he's an oni, one of those known for protecting Buddhist shrines. They still believe in the promise that Palasi will one day create a better world for monsters, but that's just it - a better world. Some part of Toyochika wants to believe the Kali Yuga can't be that bad, it'll overthrow the ultimate oppressors, but on most days, they know that's something he tells himself to convince himself they didn't waste a significant portion of their life. That same ambivalence is part of why Palasi still considers them a friend, if an unfortunate one.)
