The waiter takes the pay and gives her a small token. Walking around she sees a cosmopolitan view of Avalon. People of wildly different colors. A variety of races. A variety of shapes. Stores serve locals and guests alike. She notices how the tokens are displayed. Key chains, hair pieces, hanging from mugs, and many others. Even people clearly local wear them but they are friendly with guests.

Amber Bronkhorst

Alex looks at the token turns it between her fingers. Seeing it hanging from several accessories with the locals Alex thinks of what is close to her what she wears. She decides to attach the small token to her violin case. It is of course something she has with her quite often if not always. Music would be sharing its first place with drawing. She lets her psuedodragons fly about but near her. Now and then Alex would stop if she can sit somewhere to draw a sketch of an interesting building or scene. The words of Warrick still ringing through her mind. But she places them aside and enjoys the views. Besides drawing she'll look at stores what is for sale. A wonder crosses her mind if Corwin's Paris would be the same as here. Perhaps that should be her next stop.

she finds a small market faire. It is clear these people love their food. Tempted she buys a bowl of what tastes like watermelon grapes. As she walks she hears music. Finding it is a section of the park where a small disorganised orchestra plays happy music. As she listens she notes members getting up and down and realizes its an impromptu gathering. The people are good natured. A young woman sits near her. She opens a case and pulls flute pieces out, assembling them. "Are you just arrived too or finished for now? I only have an hour. The turnout is pretty good today! I'm Shotila. "

Amber Bronkhorst

Sitting and enjoying listening to music. Half tempted to take out her violin but deciding not to for now. She smiles to Shotila. "Hey, no i was just enjoying haven't finnished just sitting. It is my first time around and seeing what there is to see." Seeing her flute Alex smiles warmly at her. "Or is it a thing if you sit you join in? I wouldn't mind playing along." She opens her violin case. "My name is Alexandra by the way. Pleasure to meet you."

Michael James Watson

"Oh! Your a traveler? I see. Nice to meet you, Alexandra. Do you go by Ally? Xandra? Alex? By all means join in. It goes on mostly constantly. In the 3 years I've been here the Music Green has only been empty a few times. But lunch is almost over for a lot of people. My shift lets me out later. IN a few minutes the group will probably filter down by half. I try and come in the evening a couple times a week. There is a pizza vendor that comes out around 7. I thinnk he is an accountant of some kind in the day. He has some of the most wonderful calzone rolls.. "

Amber Bronkhorst

Alex laughs. "Most call me Alex. You can as well if you choose so.and thank you! Yes never been around the likes of this. I love it i love music, arts. " Hearing about the pizza vendor. "And good foods of course. So what work do you do Shotila? Seems this is a general past time for alot of people then. Lovely. Music makes a community live."

Michael James Watson

She smiles, "It is. I spend as much time here as I can. My work is wonderful and not terribly difficult after you learn it. I'm a glass masseuse. I work out of a parlor over on Wickerbe Lane. Mostly home goods. Some art pieces. I work under a master though. Gasheena. Have you heard of her?"

Amber Bronkhorst

She repeats the words "Glass Masseuse had not heard of it. But then again i never really went to discover what it takes to make glass art. " She shakes her head as she puts her violin on her shoulder. Under her chin. "Sorry not heard of Ganeesha but then again i am very nrw here and haven't seen all that i want to see." She winks

Michael James Watson

"Maybe i'll show you then." She waves for Alex to follow her. She walks out and takes a seat, saving one beside her for Alex. She listens to the music then picks a place to add her flute, playing counterpoint to another flute.

Amber Bronkhorst

"Thank you that would be great." She sits next to Shotila with her violin. Closes her eyes listens and finds a part. A music line that would compliment the whole of the musical piece Enjoying playing mysic for a while. Happy having made a new friend and playing her violin again after quite some time being busy.

Michael James Watson

The music is free form, without paper. It seems the whole is never the same, and harmony keeps it from cacophony. An hour passes quickly, and Shotila motions she must leave. She motions the direction of the shop in case Alex wants to seek her out when she is done playing. She then leaves to put her flute away

Amber Bronkhorst

Knowing this is here Alex gets up with Shotila putting her violin away. She can always return to play more. When away from the chair where they can speak she smilss. "I'll walk with you. I can always return later. And you have me curious." She puts her violin away and is ready to follow her to the shop.

Michael James Watson

She is happy you join her and she talks casually as you walk with her to her work. There you see a glass masseuse at work. She knows about 30 low order and low level spells. She and her co-workers call them the Glass Suite. (I'll write them up sometime). They take the mixing for glass and make a pure clear glass. They mix colored glass next. The spells let them be unaffected by heat and to smooth glass, mix glass, as if it was jello. She rolls it over her hands while another controls air spells to fill it. It expands and twists. While the room is blazing hot the workers are unaffected by the heat. Colors run in the glass, she fills and flows in it. She adds more glass the mix and the the size shapes She works a few glasses in many colors in cooperation with another masseuse. Something about the fire and the glass appeals to Alex and she feels the fire mark in her almost shake in eagerness. The glasses she produces are lovely. SHe explains that they Alvah, elsewhere, being chased by Azcalans and dealing with a sword trying to either twist her mind in to insanity or lead her to glory, has images of Alex and Sho working glass magically. Her tankard silently wonders if a fine crystal tankard would be as nice as an Amber mithril one.

Amber Bronkhorst

Alex requests if it is alright that she stays and learns under Sho. Amazed by the art and the feeling the heat and glass has. She wasn't here on a mission. She had no obligations now. And if Deirdre wished to speak to her they could find each other soon enough.but there should ways be time to lose oneself in art. While learning under Sho she also works on her own project. Glass little panes with a bas-relief in them. Powered and strengthened by fire and her mark. She plans to make a few versions till she wants to actually forms trumps of them.

Michael James Watson

Sho says she can't instruct her but the mistress of the shop can. She introduces Alex to Gesheena, a Mistress of many Art Suites but a particular expert in glass. She is friendly and open about the art and is willing to give Alex a few lessons. Sho gives a introduction as Alexandra. Unless Alex says more her heritage isn't mentioned. However, in the first hour Gesheena works with her she is amazed at Alex's ability if not knowledge. If alex is willing to spend a few weeks she will pick it up well.( spend a pip out of her storage on Glass Suite- essentially taking Low Order Magery.)

Amber Bronkhorst

Alex will not speak of her heritage it usually gets in the way anyway. So she just happily receives instruction from Gashneena. (Will spend the point) Not being shy for doing dirty and hard work Alex will happily do the extra chores. And she will try to start jer side project.

Michael James Watson

There is a formal Apprentice, journeymen, Master program and after a week Gesheena is no longer just showing someone the work out of joy of it. She would love to have Alex as an apprentice. Alex thinks many Amberites must have done similar things over the years for them to know how to do so many things. Time is the thing. Would she have time. IN a week she learns enough to put a pip into Glass Suite Magic and to experiment on her own without going the Apprentice, Journeyman, Master route.

Amber Bronkhorst

Alex takes on the apprenticeship happily. She feels she can lose herself in learning something new. Worrying less about the troubles back home. Which are surely managed well enough. They have managed without her as well before. Alex goes for the Journeyman Artisan. As she feels this art needs dedication and time to study. And she takes the time for her experiments as well.
