The Aquegon Empire is controlled by the Draconids. It was built by the Aquegon Dynasty, a family of blue scaled Draconids from the planet Dracandos. The Aquegon Empire is a Feudal Monarchy, with the Draconids' version of dukes, barons, marquis, earls, lords, and knights. It's an empire built on a moderately controlled economy. There are major guilds within the Aquegon Empire that are granted monopolies, but free citizens are still allowed to forge their own destinies.

History[edit]

The Aquegons had built their empire 800 years before Earth was attacked by the Valacantha. The Aquegons, just two hundred years after forming their empire, became a client state to the Valacantha Galactic Empire. The tribute included about 5,000 young virgins once a year. They were never seen again. When the Valacantha attacked Earth, and Earth fought back for survival; the Aquegons joined forces with the Terrans to free their Empire from Sartrapic control. Once that was done, the Aquegons thanked the Earthers for freeing their empire, opening the way for exploration and expansion into the Spinward of the Orion Spur.

Controlled and Contested Space[edit]

The Aquegon Empire considers the following as apart of its empire: Dracondos, Sivias, Dinocathra, Skye, Paladin, Ergoth, Nergal, and Carthasia. Of which Dracondos, Sivias, Skye, Paladin, and Ergoth are inhabited.

Government and Politics[edit]

The Aquegon Empire is controlled by a Feudal Monarchy. The Aquegons have an Aristocracy and a Knighthood. The Current King is Astralon VI, and he is like Philip I of 15th Century Spain. The Aquegon's most influential lord is Earl Talos Vianatha, who controls the Aquegon Royal Navy. His rival is Marchoness Talthona Gathonis who may be connected to the Draconic Rangers, but no one has any proof.

Economy[edit]

The Crown has licensed many monopolies within its borders to control important industries.

Foreign Relations[edit]

Aquegon foreign relations are a complex thing. The Empire shares a complex relationship with the Republic. The relationship is one where they seem like enemies one time period but they help each other the next. The Aquegons also have a fine relationship with the Kingdom of Caithness. The British Kingdom is much like themselves, albeit a Limited Parliamentary Monarchy. However, the Aquegons have no love for the Scro and they often fight. Fortunately the human colonies act as a buffer between the two empires so there isn't a direct war.
