Story[edit]

Arbon is a study in contradictions. He is a freewilled thinker in a Lawfully inclined house, a civilised maker of goods who loves nature and a seeker of vengeance who enjoys peace. Arbon grew up travelling – his parents were both members of house Cannith, makers and traders to the northern faction. He grew up around Shavalant but spent many weeks at a time away from home as part of his parents caravans through the Eldeen reaches, learning on the road the concepts of buying, selling and trade. The young mans life would have remained a quiet but happy one except for for the whim of fate...while travelling through the north and west of the Eldeen Reaches carrying a ‘special order’, his parents trade group were set upon by raiders from the Demonlands.


They were slaughtered, and a young an terrified Arbon would have been as well, running blindly into the great woods. He was saved through the intervention of a Nymph, who blinded his pursuers and took the 14 year old into her capricious care…


Years passed before Arbon returned to the world of humans, appearing at 17 outside his uncles house with an uncanny wish for knowledge and a love of all things Fey. He had been a paramour of Eladra the nymph for this time, a fringe member of the faerie court and had become fascinated with their tricks and enchantments. This led him to pursue the study of the creation of pure magic and he became an artificier.


He pursued his studies with zeal and most assumed he wished vengeance for his parents deaths through his learning. They were partly right – he loathed he demons and their underlings – but he also worked toward making himself into a worthy lover for his Nymph savior. He has had many relationships, but never given his love to any but Eladra, even knowing the whimsical ways of Fey. His love of alchemy is mainly fired by his pursuit of the mythical potion of youth – he knows the Fey are ageless and mortals not so and wishes to be able to resore the idyll of his youth with her.


He has grown to great power but remains aloof from the internal politics of house Cannith, though he is a member of the northern faction. He has never presented himself as a political player, preferring the open road and his own pursuits, but has many friends amongst his clan, largely because of his easy manner and great crafting skills. He works hard at maintaining good relations with the druid factions of the Eldeen and has grown to know many on his habitual visits to his Fey lover.
