Questions •How did you discover the supernatural? In his day job as a social worker at a hospital, JJ met several people with strange wounds, observed things that didn't make sense, and met several people that spouted crazy stories about the supernatural. Then he started to notice strangeness about some of his clients and the mental health cases he was supposed to help get services. Maybe they weren't all crazy, shortly after reaching that conclusion he recognized his first ghost. It was the first one he had seen, just the first time he knew what he was seeing. There were a lot of them in the hospital. •How long have you been in the city? He grew up in Croydon, went to university in Scotland, before moving back. So almost his whole life. •What mortal commitment keeps you from leaving your old life behind? JJ's mum still lives in Croydon and he still has mortal clients he cares about. Seeing their taken care of is why he hasn't fully transitioned to the supernatural. •What mortal aspiration have you given up? JJ thought he was going to work up to management and then working to get resource references automated to better track what community resources are available and more quickly pair clients with available assistance. With his commitment to the supernatural community, management just isn't in the cards any more. •What powerful faction or person are you currently investigating? I feel like this should be a faction someone else is coming up with.

Gear An small apartment, a used car, a smart phone. A self-defense Weapon, Taser (stun-harm hand), Your kit (an old duffle bag, patched with duck tape)

Debts

Moves I Know a Guy: When you hit the streets to get what you need from a member of your Circle, roll with Heart instead of their Circle. On a 7-9, add this option to the list: • however you find them requires you to offer a Debt to an intermediary

The Lion's Den When you gain access to a secure area within a sanctuary, gathering spot, or place of power, you can study it as if you rolled a 12+. If the location is controlled by a Circle other than your own, you also find incriminating evidence implicating a powerful NPC (your choice) within that Circle; handing the documents over to them—or one of their enemies—counts as cashing in a Debt.

This is My City When you set up a meeting with a powerful or dangerous individual in a crowded mundane space (museum, restaurant, etc.), hold 2. You can spend your hold, 1 for 1, to: • take +1 forward to escaping a situation • create an opening for you or another character to escape a situation • choose for the MC when you escape a situation and roll a 7-9
