Liriam[edit]

"Our illustrious Inquisitor... she's gained quite the reputation after apparently halting the disastrous return of the thing that was once Erasmus Haarlock. Of course, she lost her entire team on Mara in the process, which is why I've been conscripted to take the role of wyrd-sniffer and bodyguard for her. To be fair, I'm not really trained to take a bullet for others, but I guess the ability to swat sniper bullets out of the air can be used to protect others as well. In addition, she's the only other psyker on our team, and sometimes, when I speak to her... it feels like she's the only one who understands. The feeling may be mutual, but I dare not inquire too deeply into her affairs."

Seph[edit]

"Battle Sisters normally occupy themselves with purging humanity of psykers like myself and the Inquisitor. I should be glad that Sephrina is more restrained than her more zealous sisters, though I fear her suspension of animosity extends only to Inquisitor Liriam, rather than myself. She is of the Hospitaller order, a sect with which I am not unfamiliar, though her more cerebral pursuits suggest she might had been seconded to the Dialogous had not fate decreed otherwise. She doesn't like me, and so I try not to antagonize her and ruin the group's cohesion.

Sarus[edit]

"His field is... unique, among all the techpriests I've encountered. Most prefer the more heavily treaded fields of the Magos Biologis, Chymis, Lumix, and so on, but Sarus chooses to specialize in the area of language and how it relates to the human mind. It's a subtle discipline, and one worth picking his brains about. More distinctive is his embrace of humanity rather than avoidance of it; the Enginseers I knew in my youth would rather lock themselves up in their forges all dat and tinker with a piece of interesting technology. He prefers to go out and immerse himself in the seething seas of Man."

Zia[edit]

"She doesn't quite seem to like me, but that's par for the course. I find her talent for weaselling information out of people as impressive as her ability to look imposing while being about a head shorter than the average hive ganger. Oddly enough, while she's accoutred in the raiment of the Law, she seems to act like the very hive-dross she's supposed to be stamping out. Set a thief to catch a thief, perhaps?"

Tai[edit]

"A more lethal man with a blade I have not encountered. He still trounces me regularly during our sparring sessions, and while I suspect I might be able to claim victory if I used the Gift, I daresay he'd pull out another set of tricks to counter them. He's not unlike Inquisitor Liriam's dagger in the dark; though you would never know it if you spoke to him when he did not don his "Reaver" persona.

Sath[edit]

"In this war-torn universe, every group needs at least one dedicated militant. Tai is deadly, but more suited to assassination, while the rest of us embrace the arts of war as a diversion to our true calling. Even I am not as devoted to the study of the sword as I am to the disciplines of the mind. Sath is an out-and-out warrior, yet he is more than the snarling muscle-bound thugs other Inquisitors might surround themselves with. I spar with him when Tai is not available, and at least he gives me the pleasure of winning from time to time."

Marcus[edit]

"He wields authority like a sword, which fits his commissarial background. I've had a couple of them attached to me in the past, and ascending to the role of Inquisitor Liriam's right hand has not dulled his stentorian air in the slightest. While he is surprisingly able to coax and wheedle like Zia, it is when he brings his full force of personality to bear on some hapless miscreant strapped down to a Seat of Inquiry that his true potency manifests itself."
